Denso Iridium Power Spark Plug IK24 (Same as Spoon plugs)
Denso Iridium Power Spark Plugs utilise a 0.4mm Iridium alloy centre electrode and a U-grooved ground electrode to improve ignition efficiency.
This means cleaner combustion, less load on the ignition system, improved economy and a crisper throttle response. Useful service life is expected to be around 2 - 3 times that of a standard spark plug.
The IK24 plug is one level colder than standard on B18 and K20 engines. Colder plugs dissipate more heat from the cylinder and therefore help to reduce the risk of detonation. Because the plugs need to reach a certain temperature in order to clean themselves, it's important not to go too cold or you risk fouling the plugs
A good rule of thumb is; one heat range colder for every 75–100hp added.
